View below some of Home at 2 Designs' recent interior design projects completed in the New England area. A few favorite highlights, followed by an array of portfolio images.
Double Island Kitchen
The floor-to-ceiling shaker style cabinets blend seamlessly with the milled ceiling of the same color (Whie Dove). The custom gray island welcomes friends and family to gather while serious cooking takes place without interference.
The organic warmth of the soapstone countertops, marry beautifully with the handmade subway tile backsplash. The C. 1940s industrial lights and the vintage style bentwood counterstools nod to the past.
Turret living room
Custom grid windows reflect the original architecture of the area, but do not interfere with the view. A neutral wall color allows for the antique Persian rug to command the accents of red on the sofas. A large airy light is balanced in size but does not impede the view. No electronics abide here, just an antique British telescope for gazing.
New Life For Old Lanterns
A pair of 19th C Scottish nautical gas lamps were wired very carefully so as to not damage their original form.
They now are used in the screened and glass porch of a seaside home.
Hint: The lanterns are plugged into outlets in the ceiling (not hardwired), to allow for removal during coastal storms.
